About What are some cool jobs that this girl I like and I can apply too

What are some cool jobs that this girl I like and I can apply too????
I'm 18 years old and in college, and the girl I like a lot is 17 years old and in high school. We both are looking for jobs, and we thought it would be cool to get a job where we both could work. We live in St. Paul, MN. Any ideas? Its kind of hard to find a job because they either aren't hiring or you have to be 18 years old. What are some easy but cool places to apply to? thanks

As much as you two would like to work together, it might not happen for you. When you two apply at places, just don't apply together. They might not need two people, so neither of you would get the job. You two could work at nearby stores in a mall or something! Yall would be on similar schedules, cause niether of you could work before or after the mall was open. And you could take breaks together. Yall could also try somewhere like an ice cream shop, a movie gallery, a bowling alley, a movie theater, a pizza place, or somewhere like that. Those would be fun places to work where you probably don't have to be 18! And you would have plenty of socialization time. Plus, those places could work around your school schedules

Starbucks,can i get transferred to St.Paul,Minnesota from Bath,UK?

Answer 1 :
ask starbucks, no one here will know.
Answer 2 :
No, you can safely assume that there is NO WAY that you can work at any Starbucks in the USA. US immigration rules are EXTREMELY strict when it comes to any foreigner working. Unlike many other countries, USA doesn't have any "temporary work" visa available unless you are an extremely highly qualified specialist, so unique that no single person can be found in USA for that particular job. I'm sure you agree that that can hardly be true for working at Starbucks. Short of becoming an immigrant (3 - 5 years to process) you will NOT be working in Minnesota. Save up your money and go on a visit, that you can do without a visa

About Are there any photo studios in St. Paul

Are there any photo studios in St. Paul?
I will be moving to St. Paul, Minnesota this summer. I am going to go to college majoring in Photography and I was wondering if anybody knows of any photo studios that I could possibly get a job at? I would like to work at a studio that has a darkroom, but that is not completey necessary, just my favorite type of photography. Thanks.

A simple YellowPages search for "photography studio" in St. Paul yielded over 800 search results. I trust this answers your question of whether they exist. As for whether you can find a job at any of these places, that depends on far too many factors for us to answer that question. Will one of them probably be hiring this fall? Sure. Is there any easy way to predict which? Nope. For that reason, you're probably going to have to do this one on your own. Make some calls, write some letters, beef up your portfolio. Good luck

About City of London Safety and Accessibility

City of London Safety and Accessibility?
I will be in London for 5-6 mos, working near Liverpool St. Please advise whether I should live within walking distance from work. My choices include the Blackfriars/St. Paul's area and the Fenchurch/Tower Hill area. Does the financial district empty out at night- does this make it unsafe? Are there restaurants and supermarkets in the area that stay open after the workday? Is this area convenient for seeing London's attractions? Thanks in advance for any insight that you can offer.

Answer 1 :
I lived in the City of London during the 1980s/90s. It was blissfully quiet at night and at weekends and extremely safe. There is a big Police presence in that area because of fears of terrorism. Some restaurants stay open in the evening, but in any case you can get to tourist areas like Soho and Covent Garden in a few minutes; most supermarkets stay open until 8pm.
Answer 2 :
London has changed a lot over the years. I would live as close as you can to work as the tube can be unreliable and very very busy. Be prepared to be paying a LOT of rent. My friend pays £600 a month for a room in a house in the Earls Court area. In london you will find that supermarket will be open until quite late (at least until 10). There are many 24 hour shops too. As for safety sadly a lot of London isnt safe because of muggings but just keep your guard up and you should be fine.
Answer 3 :
Living within walking distance to your place of work would be a good idea as it means you wouldn't have to negotiate the London public transport system at rush hour. However, be warned that property in close vicinity to the city is VERY expensive. You're probably going to have to pay in excess of £900 a month for a studio flat to live in that sort of location (Earls Court is a 45 minute commute outside of the City, hence why it is cheaper). During the week the City is always very busy. Even at nights there will still be plenty of people around in the various pubs, bars and restaurants. It can be a bit of a ghost town at weekends though, apart from the odd tourist that floats around. There aren't really any large supermarkets in the city. Instead there are smaller versions of the big names we have in the suburbs. They will provide you with all of the necessities but will probably charge you much more than usual. And don't worry, everything stays open until late - we're not some backwards, third world country, you know
